Chevrolet will launch the 2013 Spark city-car at the 2011 Los Angeles Motor Show.
Nearly monovular to the global model, U.S Spark‘s obtain a restyled front grille, revised headlights and tail-lights, new bumpers, door mirrors, and 15” alloy wheels.
“Spark is for buyers who want much more than a ‘cute’ small car – they want a car that can be personalised, is dynamic and fashionable, and delivers a lot of value for the money,” said Chris Perry, vice president, global Chevrolet marketing and strategy. “Spark‘s vibrant exterior and interior colours make a fashion statement, but it is also affordable, safe, manoeuvrable and very fuel-efficient.”
The cabin includes colour-keyed air-conditioning outlets and electric window control accents, and a motorcycle-inspired instrument binnacle. The centre console is dominated by an optional 7” Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system and heated leatherette seats are available. Standard equipment includes air-conditioning, electric windows, 10 airbags, exterior chrome accents, front fog lamps, leather steering wheel w/audio controls, 6-speakers, and 15” alloy wheels.
Forward-momentum comes from an 85bhp (86PS/63kW) 1.2 litre petrol engine that produces 111Nm (82lb-ft) of torque. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic gearbox.
Pricing will be released near to its launch date in mid-2012.
